Develop and lead internal and external content delivery and infrastructure efforts designed to reach, excite and engage our customers and associates with Kroger’s unique story on topics such as our 2020 sustainability goals, community outreach, hunger relief efforts and business performance. Oversee the operational effectiveness of Kroger Television (KTV), manage day-to-day operational activities, support production facilities and build collaborative relationships with internal resources critical to the success of KTV. Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
  • Develop new and refine existing internal/external content delivery systems and strategies
  • Continue to develop on-trend success metrics and regularly report on customer/associate analytics for KTV content
  • Establish operational priorities and direction for the KTV network in alignment with budget and business strategy
  • Oversee the infrastructure and build-out of digital signage
  • Collaborate with the KTV creative team on technology and use of production resources
  • Monitor and routinely report on processes and quality of network and studio operations
  • Oversee scheduling of network channel capacity in order to ensure appropriate network balance and content delivery
  • Maintain the integrity of the technology infrastructure of KTV in collaboration with Kroger Technology to ensure content and asset delivery
  • Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge trends, equipment and new technologies and a willingness to experiment with new ideas
  • Solicit, respond to and act on feedback from peers, business owners, associates and customers
  • Maintain knowledge of current mobile, social and on-premise content trends and lead a team to adopt emerging platforms and infrastructure
  • Coach and counsel affiliate producers/directors on studio operations and program scheduling
  • Manage vendor relationships that provide support and infrastructure technologies necessary to maintain day-to-day operations
  • Travel to company sites, vendors and other external locations to manage media projects

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in communications, network oversight, digital and/or studio production operations
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in multiple environments as projects dictate (e.g., arenas, event centers, conference rooms, hotels, etc.)
  • Ability to build and maintain cooperative business partnerships
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in an office or studio environment
  • Strong leadership skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Managerial experience in a multi-site network environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (communications or film/digital video production)
  • Experienced and avid digital product and systems user
