Digital Content Next (DCN) released new findings it commissioned from comScore's July 2016 research, "The Halo Effect". The follow-up analysis of the original data found that video ads served on premium sites yielded 68% higher brand lift than video on non-premium sites and drove even higher brand lift when looking at sales funnel brand metrics.

Optimove, a customer marketing cloud, announced that it has raised $20 million in growth funding from Israel Growth Partners, a private equity investment firm that focuses on later stage investments. The round marks the first funding for the nearly eight-year-old company, after three straight years of 100% year-over-year growth, according to Optimove.

Adblock Plus, a popular browser extension for blocking online advertisements, running on more than 100 million active devices, launched the beta version of an adtech platform for publishers. Adblock Plus teamed with publisher platform-provider ComboTag to build what will be known as the Acceptable Ads Platform, an interactive platform that lets publishers and bloggers choose from a marketplace of pre-whitelisted ads that they can drag and drop onto their sites.

Forbes and PodcastOne, an advertiser-supported podcast network, announced a partnership to launch the Forbes on PodcastOne network. The deal includes joint efforts in podcast development and production, as well as distribution, promotion, marketing and advertising sales. Kaltura, a video technology provider, announced that it has secured a $50 million pre-IPO funding from Goldman Sachs' Private Capital Investing group. Kaltura will use the additional capital to extend its footprint across all six continents, and to further its unique positioning as the "Everything Video" company -- providing video products for an unprecedented array of markets and use-cases. Holger Staude, Vice President in Goldman Sachs' Private Capital Investing group, will be joining Kaltura's board of directors.
