Bridgeline Digital, Inc. announced David Maffei has joined its team as senior vice president of business development. Maffei's responsibilities include driving continued sales growth of Bridgeline's iAPPS web experience management platform via its business unit sales, channel partner program, and strategic alliances teams. Maffei was formerly the vice president of sales at Ektron, Inc.

Apple named John Browett, CEO of Dixons, as its senior vice president of retail. Dixons is a U.K.-based consumer electronics chain owned by DSG Retail Ltd. Browett will assume the position at Apple in April and is replacing Ron Johnson, who left Apple in June 2011 to become CEO of J.C. Penney Corp., Inc.

Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) appointed Roy S. Kaufman as the company's managing director of new ventures. Based in New York, Kaufman will be responsible for expanding capabilities as CCC develops new services. Kaufman was formerly the legal director for John Wiley & Sons, Inc., as well as a member of CCC's board of directors -- his seat on the board will be vacated. Kaufman has written two books on publishing law and serves as the editor-in-chief of the Art Law Handbook.
