iCast introduces ZapPoint

iCast has announced the Beta release of the iCast ZapPoint software application. ZapPoint is a video indexing tool. It allows you to put markers named ‘ZapPoints' in video streams and to create databases for video files and ZapPoints. Search, find, and view any ZapPoint in any video stream.

ZapPoint is primarily designed for Microsoft Windows Media Files, but handles other formats of video streams too, as long as they can be played in Windows Media Player series 9 or higher. The software is developed for Windows PC's.

Evaluation versions of ZapPoint can be downloaded freely at the Web site. The ZapPoint application has a download size of approximately 5 MB. ZapPoint Basic and Advanced version will launch in September 2005. The Basic version will be free downloadable. ZapPoint Advanced version has extended options and supports other media formats too. ZapPoint Advanced will cost $59.95.
