Dec 01, 2006

Wolters Kluwer Health, a provider of information for professionals and students in medicine, nursing, allied health, pharmacy, and the pharmaceutical industry, has launched PubFusion 2.0 as an online content management system for publishers, pharmaceutical companies, and other businesses. Product features of PubFusion 2.0 include: Version Control; Real-Time Audits; Global Management; Centralized Progress Monitoring and Revision and Proof Monitoring; Collaboration tools; Flexible output; and web-accessible publication content available from anywhere.

New features in Version 2 include enhanced onscreen layout tools, an automated feed of "publish ahead of print" articles to designated websites, improved workflow tools, and an enhanced reporting tool. The reporting tool breaks down information by article types or sections, and is designed to enable better scheduling and reporting on authors, articles, submissions, tables, and figures. Version 2.0 also supports interactions with suppliers such as online aggregators, print production facilities, and advertising agencies. It can be integrated with all major commercial manuscript submission systems. PubFusion uses a standard Windows-based system and is available in both a hosted version and an in-house solution, in partnership with Flatiron Solutions.
