Bowstreet, a provider of development tools for J2EE applications, has announced that Winholesale, which provides business services for corporations that wholesale and distribute durable goods, has selected IBM WebSphere Portal and Bowstreet Portlet Factory to connect legacy data and provide role-based access to financial information. With Bowstreet Portlet Factory, Winholesale plans to develop portlets that tie into their back-end systems and provide role-based views into financial reports. Bowstreet Portlet Factory will provide Winholesale's executives with views into various dissections of financial data, allowing them to get a snapshot of the overall health of the organization, and drill down further to look at regions, territories, and even individual companies if required. IBM's worldwide sales organization sells Bowstreet Portlet Factory in conjunction with WebSphere Portal.
