Voxant Partners With Dow Jones Online to Distribute Video

Voxant, a Viral Syndication Network (VSN), has partnered with Dow Jones Online to make videos from The Wall Street Journal Online, MarketWatch.com, and Barron's Online available through VSN's TheNewsRoom. VSN provides individual website publishers and bloggers with access to fully licensed news stories, which sites can then embed and syndicate to their own readers.

VSN's proprietary viral mashing technology allows copyright-protected content to be "mashed" from TheNewsRoom and legally embedded on websites and blogs, where it can then be redistributed to additional sites in a true viral distribution model. A tracking system and dashboard record where the content has traveled on the web and how often it is viewed, in addition to providing the ability to block content from appearing on inappropriate or prohibited sites.

Syndication through TheNewsRoom is the latest video initiative from Dow Jones Online, which launched a branded video player across its sites. Dow Jones videos feature reporting from The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, and Barron's journalists on topics including personal finance, small business trends, environmental issues, and CEO interviews, as well as movie, wine, and book reviews.
