Twitter Rolls Out New Features

Sep 16, 2010

Twitter announced that it would be rolling out a handful of new features and capabilities for its social messaging service. The company will be introducing a new version of the site that features a cleaner timeline and a richer details pane to provide information on individual Tweets, along with the ability to scroll through an unlimited number of Tweets without having to select "More."

Twitter is also making it simpler to embed photos and videos directly in Twitter, with support for a wide variety of services such as DailyBooth, DeviantART, Etsy, Vimeo, and YouTube. Users will also be able to access additional information about related tweets and access miniature profiles of users without having to navigate away from individual pages.

The changes are currently being rolled out as a preview to a small percentage of registered accounts, with wider availability to come at a later date.
