Twitter has announced another set of advertising partners who will feature branded profile pages, including NPR (@NPRNews); NBC News (@NBCNews); The Huffington Post (@HuffingtonPost); Al Jazeera (@AJEnglish); aNobii (@anobii); and others. Twitter will continue to roll out enhanced pages to other partners, charities, media organizations, and individuals, the company said.
Brands with access to these enhanced profile pages can upload banners and promote tweets at the top of their feed. Twitter will not be customizing pages for these entities.
The social networking site announced in December that it would be introducing Facebook-style brand pages for companies to customize and highlight content. The first 21 brands invited to test out the new platform included Dell, Disney, HP, and Intel Corp.
