The new Thomson Pharma Generic Competition Module is a strategic tool for research-based pharmaceutical companies. The module provides critical, early intelligence, and independent analysis to help companies identify and assess signs of generic competition for brand products. The module is derived from the Vision CITM system, which provides Product Lifecycle Management teams with the analysis by which to forecast loss of product exclusivity, the ability to identify competition, and the potential effects of generic entry on their competitor's products. The module also gives pharmaceutical companies a tool for identifying and tracking early generics activity, and researching potential competitors.
