Thomson Reuters announced the launch of its offering of domestic news, information, and services to U.S. publishers and broadcasters, providing tools meant to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and drive revenue.
Reuters America is a collaboration with U.S. publishers such as the Tribune Co. It was developed as part of an investment in editorial content and technology, introducing the customization of Reuters' services that are delivered worldwide.
The Tribune Co. signed a multiyear deal with Reuters to provide news, photo, digital, graphics, and online video services for the company's newspapers, which includes the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times, as well as all publishing and broadcast websites.
With Reuters America, Thomson Reuters also plans to increase its coverage into entertainment and sports media with organizations such as TheWrap.com; Sports Direct, Inc.; and The SportsXchange.
