Stellent, Inc., a provider of content management solutions, has announced Stellent Content Management Version 6 is now localized in six languages and features expanded contribution and Web site migration capabilities to further ease-of-use for content contributors and Web site users. Stellent Content Management Version 6 is localized in English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish, enabling users to efficiently interact with the Stellent system in their native languages. This localization is intended to allow Web sites in these languages to be more rapidly deployed and more easily maintained. Users can choose their language preference when they create user profiles in the Stellent Content Management system, and the Stellent Content Server then automatically presents the interface in the preferred language.
Stellent also announced new content contribution functionalities. The new Stellent Drive module enables users to contribute content to offline folders and extends Stellent's WebDAV content contribution functionality to non-WebDAV applications, such as Framemaker, Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office ‘97. This extension simplifies the content check-in and check-out process by enabling users of non-WebDAV applications to contribute content directly to Stellent and also access content managed by Stellent. In addition, users can now email content directly to Stellent Content Server, and both the emails and attachments are checked in and managed by the system. Version 6 also offers a Web site migration capability that enables companies to migrate existing Web sites into a fully managed and automated Stellent environment. By moving existing Web sites or content into the Stellent environment, users are able to use standard features and benefits provided by Stellent Content Management, such as revision control, workflow, and automatic deployment of content.
