Spredfast, an Austin, Texas-based enterprise social media management system, netted $1.6 million in funding from Austin Ventures. Funds from the Series A round will go toward building the Spredfast brand and business development.
Spredfast allows companies to manage all of their social media campaigns-including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Flickr-from a single social media dashboard. It also currently supports Wordpress, Blogger, MoveableType, Lotus Live Connections, Drupal and most XML-RPC enabled blogging platforms.
