Schipul Offers Tendenci CMS as Open Source Solution

Mar 12, 2012

Schipul Technologies will release its content management system, Tendenci, as an open source product. Tendenci is designed specifically for nonprofit organizations and associations. The initial open source release of Tendenci will include core modules for content management, user and member management, custom forms, and event registration.

The Tendenci Open Source download will be available to attendees of the Nonprofit Technology Conference in San Francisco, held in April. External beta testers are currently working on the code, the company reported, and participating developers will have early access.

Schipul will continue to offer Tendenci as a hosted web marketing solution delivered as a service. Schipul rebuilt Tendenci using Python Software Foundation's programming language on the Django open source framework, developed by Django Software Foundation.
