Sendia Corporation, a provider of wireless enterprise solutions that are designed to extend desktop applications to mobile workers, has announced the launch of its Wireless Salesforce Automation (SFA) for salesforce.com. Built on the sforce on demand platform, this new mobile solution extends the features and functionality of salesforce.com to wireless handheld devices, including Research In Motion's (RIM) BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds, and PalmOne Treos. The solution was developed to give mobile sales professionals wireless access to salesforce.com's on demand customer relationship management (CRM) services with or without a wireless connection. When coverage is available, bi-directional data updates occur automatically over the air in the background, with no interaction required by the user.
Administrators can set up the application so that only data that is most relevant to their sales people is sent to the device. Data fields can change to match customization on the backend, or be re-arranged by priority of importance based on a user's needs. All server-side customizations are automatically and wirelessly deployed to connected devices. Sendia has developed a communications technology based on a Class 4 transport working in combination with a transactional database model. Sendia's system compares changes to data on both client and server-side and forwards changed data.
