Forty-four percent of information professionals see content management as a key focus for their organization over the coming year, according to the latest Online Information survey. The research, which was conducted on information professionals attending the Online Information and Content Management Europe exhibitions in December 2003, illustrates the growing importance of content management to the information profession.

A further 31% of respondents also highlight information architecture as a key issue they will be addressing, and 26% will be focusing their attention on collaborative working. Encouragingly, 67% of the information professionals questioned believe that senior management understand the benefits of information management to their organization, with only 13% stating that their management has no understanding.
