ProQuest has partnered with the NAACP to digitize the association's archives: nearly 2 million pages of internal memos, legal briefings, and direct action summaries from national, legal, and branch offices nationwide. Start and end dates for the project were not disclosed.

The collection will be fully searchable and electronically accessed as PDFs through academic, research, and public library websites as part of ProQuest's History Vault. Spanning a timeline of 1909 to 1972, the archives have been preserved on microfilm and held in the Manuscript Division of the Library of Congress.

The ProQuest History Vault is an initiative to digitize historically rich primary sources and make them available to broader audiences.
