The Financial Times and Outercurve Technologies, a provider of wireless handheld business solutions, have announced a content distribution agreement. FT.com content will be supplied to BlackBerry users across Europe, the US, and Asia using Outercurve's InfoEdge delivery service. Outercurve's service model is designed to enable companies to choose specific subscription services such as FT.com for their employees on a cost per subscriber basis. Outercurve's InfoEdge service is designed to provide organizations using Research In Motion's BlackBerry Platform the ability to create, deploy, and manage client-server wireless applications. InfoEdge, its development environment and over-the-air application deployment capability, can help companies deliver packaged and/or custom applications to mobile users. InfoEdge is delivered through partnerships the company has with wireless carriers in the US, Hong Kong, Europe, Singapore, and Australia.
