Oracle announced the acquisition of FatWire Software, a provider of web experience management software that helps companies build and deploy interactive online sites. FatWire's solutions are designed to deliver relevant customer content and increase community engagement. Oracle hopes that the acquisition will further extend its technology into the multi-channel customer experience market.
According to the two companies, the transaction is expected to close in mid-2011, until which time the companies will remain entirely separate. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
