North Korea's official newspaper, The Rodong Singmun, released an English-language digital version, available at www.rodong.rep.kp/InterEn. The English version of the paper is divided into four sections: "Supreme Leaders' Activities," "In DPRK" (the Democratic People's Republic of Korea), "Inter-Korean," and "International."
The "Inter-Korean" section consists of articles criticizing South Korea, with whom North Korea is currently at war. Because of this and under National Security law, access to the website has been blocked to South Koreans. However, it was South Korea's Korea Times that broke news of the launch; Korea Times correspondent Kim Young-jin noted that the Rodong Singmun site was viewable briefly when its IP address changed.
