New WordPress Plug-in Aims For Unified Blog-to-Ecommerce-Site Experience

Feb 15, 2012

Demandware, Inc. released a WordPress plug-in that provides retailers with the means to make content published on a WordPress blog "more social and shoppable." The app is powered by the company's Open Commerce APIs and can be customized using the same functions of the Demandware Commerce platform in an effort to meet individual brand requirements.

Retailers can tag text and images with product details and ultimately create a more consistent brand experience between their blog and ecommerce site. Demandware claims the plug-in will improve ROI on WordPress, drive higher consumer engagement, and improve SEO.

The WordPress plug-in is available to Demandware clients and partners for testing and implementation. The app "may eventually be added to Demandware's roadmap," the company says.
