New Media Strategies Hosts Social Media Day at NY Stock Exchange

New Media Strategies (NMS) is hosting the first social media-focused event held by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Friday, Nov. 4. The daylong conversation on achieving success through social media marketing is intended to connect corporations and consumers over social networks, establishing better communication in light of the economic unrest and #Occupy protests. NMS's CEO and founder Pete Snyder will ring the NYSE opening bell on Thursday, Nov. 3.

NYSE Social Media Day invites participants to explore social marketing strategies, discover emerging trends in corporate and political communications, share experiences, and hear advice from social media experts. Session titles include "How Smart Businesses Are Engaging With Social Media," and "Building Your Personal Brand Online," with the opening discussion on "Social Media and Wall Street" by Christine A. Varney, former Assistant Attorney General for the Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice. NMS is a Washington, D.C.-based social media marketing agency.
