RefWorks announced enhancements to RefAware, its online personal research assistant and monitoring service introduced in March 2008, and to RefWorks, a provider of web-based research management, writing and collaboration tools for the academic and research communities. RefAware now includes a new feature that provides the user with meaningful information about the authors behind the publications in their retrieved results. In addition, RefAware results will now include images when available, giving researchers important visual information along with the bibliographic citation. Images sent via RSS feeds will be displayed in the reference pane for viewing. These enhancements are also available to RefWorks users. RefAware and RefWorks enhancements are available to any registered users, and are provided at no additional charge.
