LexisNexis has bundled information from some of its news, business, and legal sources into a resource for U.S. election coverage in a new Campaign 2004 file. Current LexisNexis flat-rate subscribers to news content can access the Campaign 2004 file on the lexis.com and the nexis.com services at no additional charge. This file contains information from news sources, including ABC News, CNN, Gallup Poll News Service, National Journal, National Public Radio, NBC News, The Hotline, The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, and The Washington Times. Coverage begins with stories from October 1, 2003, and will be updated daily.
A search form has been included on the nexis.com service so subscribers can search for relevant news articles, including the option to select specific topics using LexisNexis SmartIndexing Technology. Subscribers can search by topics, such as healthcare policy, immigration, and foreign policy, and select from a list of candidate names to uncover stories where candidates' positions are revealed. In addition, subscribers can set up news alerts in Personal News on the nexis.com service or ECLIPSE on the lexis.com service.
The file can be found on: the LexisNexis service at www.nexis.com by selecting "Campaign 2004" in the Search Forms area of the home page, and the LexisNexis service at www.lexis.com by selecting the News and Business tab and then clicking on "Campaign 2004." By visiting www.lexisnexis.com/campaign2004, non-subscribers can view some of the campaign coverage, including candidate information, campaign news, and candidates' positions on major issues. Visitors can also directly link to related items available from the LexisNexis Bookstore.
