Juniper Networks Extends SSL VPN Product Family

Aug 17, 2004

Juniper Networks, Inc. has introduced its SSL VPN solutions for the small-to-medium enterprise (SME) market, designed to provide SMEs with a secure, cost-effective, and easy-to-deploy solution for remote employees to access corporate networks. Built upon the Juniper Networks Instant Virtual Extranet (IVE) platform - the NetScreen Remote Access 500 appliances are optimized for SMEs with packaging, pricing, and implementation tailored to this market. The new NetScreen Remote Access 500 series uses SSL-based transport to provide secure, remote access via a Web browser without the need for client software distribution, maintenance, and support. The NetScreen Remote Access 500 series products are delivered in a purpose-built appliance and eliminate the need to harden servers or make changes to existing infrastructure.

The NetScreen Remote Access 500 series is intended to complement the existing Juniper Networks NetScreen Secure Access product family, which offers access options, performance scalability and access granularity tailored for intranet and extranet environments. Both product lines leverage the security design of the IVE platform, including enterprise strength authentication, authorization and auditing (AAA); endpoint security; and a core security architecture that has been audited by third-party security experts, such as TruSecure Corporation, Cryptography Research, Inc., and has been certified by ICSA Labs. The Juniper Networks NetScreen Remote Access 500 series is available immediately through a network of Juniper Networks global channel partners with pricing starting at $4,000 for 10 concurrent users.
