Interwoven and Kofax Extend Partnership Interwoven, Inc., provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, and Kofax, an information capture vendor, have announced a deepened partnership through a new reseller agreement to provide enterprises with integration of imaging and information capture capabilities with Interwoven ECM solutions. Under the new agreement, Interwoven will resell the Kofax Ascent Capture product, providing customers an ECM solution from a single vendor through the unified management of paper and electronic content. Under the reseller agreement, Kofax Ascent Capture will be integrated with Interwoven's Web Content Management, Document Management, and Content Intelligence offerings.

Interwoven has also announced that it has introduced the Interwoven New Business Intake product. Additionally, Interwoven introduced a Conflicts Management product targeted at the law firm segment of the professional services industry. With these new products, professional services firms can automate manual processes, as well as protect the interests of the firm and its clients through a conflicts management solution.

With the solution, firms can create the electronic equivalent of a client file by consolidating documents, emails, billing, contacts, and all other relevant content for any given client or engagement/matter in a single integrated file that is accessible both internally and externally across departments and locations. With the company's new product introductions, Interwoven is extending this solution to automate the first two phases of a prospective client relationship: 1) New Business Intake, which enables firms to implement the policies and procedures while processing a new client, and 2) Conflicts Management, which enables firms to check for and avoid potential business or ethical conflicts of interest between prospective and existing clients.

Key features of the new products include: the Interwoven New Business Intake Intuitive and Customizable Web-Based Interface; a Single Entry Point; Automatic Data Synchronization; Task Automation; and Audit Trails. New features of Interwoven Conflicts Management include: Real-Time Search; an Asynchronous Search Interface; Automation through Workflow; Interactive Web-Based Conflicts Reports; Detailed Audit Trails; and Patriot Act Compliance. The products will be generally available in late Q1 2006.
