Stellent, Ltd., the London-based subsidiary of Stellent, Inc., a provider of content management software, has announced the United Kingdom firm Gist is using Stellent technology to manage its company intranet. Stellent has also announced that Agilent Technologies, a provider of communications, electronics, life sciences, and chemical analysis technology, has licensed the Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley Solution.
Gist, part of the BOC group, creates supply chain solutions for customers. Its intranet needed to enable all staff to access information about the company and its customers quickly and efficiently to ensure improved, quality service for customers. The company wanted a dynamic, interactive, real-time intranet for managing and accessing customer information, product data, supplier information, safety policies and procedures, announcements and newsletters, staff benefits, online CBT training, and rich media. Gist is now considering expanding the ways Stellent software can be used by staff, such as putting intranet kiosks in staff rooms for employees to access company information. It is also looking to use Stellent on its public-facing Internet site and existing customer portals.
Agilent's deployment of Stellent's software solution — beginning this month — is an extension of Agilent's existing Stellent Universal Content Management implementation. The Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley Solution is designed to help companies streamline their processes for complying with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. It allows organizations to more easily manage and approve documentation related to financial and non-financial disclosures as well as Section 404 compliance. The product also enables companies to address the requirements related to initial documentation and identification of key processes and controls as mandated by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. In addition, it automates testing processes to ease ongoing resource requirements.
