EBSCO's Publisher Promotion & Fulfillment Division Partners with Gallup Poll

EBSCO Industries, Inc. Publisher Promotion & Fulfillment (PP&F) division has entered an agreement with The Gallup Organization to promote the launch of Gallup Brain, a centralized database containing every Gallup Poll Public Opinion survey of Americans conducted since 1935. The Gallup Brain is updated weekly and includes the data, analysis of and stories related to Gallup's most recent polls. PP&F will market the Gallup Brain database to institutional consortia through direct mail, the promotion of 30- to 60-day trial periods, and post-trial follow-up. PP&F will also handle all licensing details.

The database includes poll analysis, articles from the Gallup Poll Tuesday Briefing online publication, questionnaire results, an archive of historical issues and surveyed opinions from the past seven decades, and an analysis of questionnaires and responses about today's issues, cataloged by date and by topic. Using keyword search, researchers can search questionnaires and releases. The database groups questions by scale and keyword so the user can create a trend line for their own use. The data is sorted into a data table that can be exported into other software to make graphs and charts. A graphing function is being added that will allow users to create line graphs for trends.
