BEST PRACTICES SERIES

The EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service (EJS) Reader Site now features streamlined functionality and includes coverage data for ejournal content hosted at the publisher site.

From within EJS, end users can now identify the extent of publisher-hosted content in addition to the coverage to which they have access rights. EJS calculates an institution's access rights using an algorithm that evaluates the customer's order history, the publisher's access model, and the content available at the publisher site. Streamlined functionality includes a journal listing with icons to indicate which journals are on subscription. A drop-down menu provides filtering options to limit searches to all titles, full text, pay-per-view, or citations/abstracts only. A revamped journal home page identifies the content to which a user has access and the content that is available at the publisher site. It also provides the ability to browse volumes and issues, and view tables of content.
