Dow Jones Newswires and Communicator Inc. have reached a news distribution and software development agreement. Dow Jones Newswires will deliver its financial news and information through Communicator Inc.'s Hub IM. The offering integrates Dow Jones' content with Communicator Inc.'s identity management, messaging, and collaboration products. The result is a single, secure application through which users can receive market news and then communicate and collaborate about that information in real time. Communicator Hub IM combines real-time messaging and discussion group forums with information delivery. It is integrated with a directory that uses a company's business rules to manage who has access to whom, how they can be accessed, combined with a wide range of message tracking, archiving, and security protections. Hub IM is delivered as a hosted, managed service. The agreement covers a selection of Dow Jones Newswires‚ news and information products, enabling buy- and sell-side subscribers to choose the service that best meets their information needs. The Dow Jones news offerings to be distributed via Hub IM are: Dow Jones News Service providing coverage of North American companies and markets; Dow Jones Capital Markets Report delivering global fixed-income market coverage; Dow Jones Economic Report supplying news for international currency markets; Dow Jones Corporate Filings Alert offering news uncovered in SEC filings and bankruptcy courts; and Dow Jones Energy Service covering events and news in the world's major energy markets. The combined solution is available immediately to current and prospective customers of both Dow Jones and Communicator Inc. Pricing is based on the type of news feed and number of users.
