Two consumer groups, Consumer Watchdog and the Center for Digital Democracy (CDD), have asked the Federal Trade Commission to block Google's $750 million deal to buy mobile advertising company AdMob. The letter states that Google is buying dominance in the mobile advertising market and consumers are losing out as a result.

Furthermore, the two groups are concerned with the massive amount of consumer data Google and AdMob collect. According to Consumer Watchdog and CDD, information from AdMob and Google together would pose privacy concerns for consumers.
