Attensity Group, a developer of business user applications that generate value from unstructured data, announced the execution of a definitive agreement to acquire Biz360 Inc., a provider of social media monitoring and market intelligence solutions. The company hopes that the acquisition will significantly enhance its ability to track and benefit from online conversations.
The enhanced Attensity platform will be designed to enable corporate customers to better gain strategic competitive advantage through a data "listening post," self-service analytics, and an integrated self-service insight application. The platform also intelligently routes social, SMS, and email communications for response, while bringing social knowledge into corporate knowledge-bases.
Under the terms of the transaction, Attensity is acquiring Biz360 in its entirety, including pending patents, proprietary technologies, customer base, current products, and products in development. The Biz360 team will be integrated into the organization with Biz360's president and CEO, Brad Brodigan, joining Attensity as its senior vice president and general manager.
