Picks Up CBS Streaming Rights

CBS Corporation and announced a non-exclusive licensing agreement that will let Amazon customers stream television shows from CBS's library of content. Amazon Prime customers will be able to instantly watch thousands of episodes from the CBS library, and Amazon will add 2,000 episodes to its Prime instant video service, including full seasons for 18 popular television series, such as The Tudors, Numb3rs, and the complete Star Trek franchise. Starting this summer, dozens of CBS shows will also be available to Amazon Instant Video customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Amazon Instant Video is a streaming video service that gives users access to more than 90,000 movies and television shows for purchase or rent. The addition of the CBS content brings the service to more than 6,000 movies and television shows. Customers can instantly watch movies and television shows from Amazon on a Mac, PC, or directly on television with a variety of compatible devices.
