Amazon Introduces Daily Deal for Kindle Books

Aug 25, 2011

Amazon launched the Kindle Daily Deal, which offers Amazon customers a discount on one Kindle book each day. The deals will start at midnight Pacific time and continue for a 24 hour period. The discounted titles may be ones which Amazon, rather than the publisher, sets the price on.

The first Kindle Daily Deal was on a children's book titled The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo, which was marked down to $1.39 from $6.99. Today's is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, marked down to $2.99 from $6.99. Amazon says it will post the book to be featured each day on Twitter and Facebook.
