Altova has updated its MissionKit suite of XML, database, and UML tools for the second time this year. Altova has incorporated more features and functionalities that are commonly requested by its users: MissionKit v2012r2 includes support for EPUB files with XMLSpy, sorting of data mapping results with MapForce, code generation from UML sequence diagrams in UModel, and RichEdit functionality in StyleVision and Authentic.

Altova also revamped its DiffDog and DatabaseSpy offerings. With DiffDog v2012r2, users can save and reload parameters for file and folder comparisons. DatabaseSpy supports Oracle PL/SQL package creation and editing.

A free 30-day trial is available for any Altova product via its website. In conjunction with the MissionKit release, a free, five-module XSLT Technical Training course has been scheduled as part of the Altova Online Training curriculum.
