Alacritude, LLC, publisher of eLibrary and Encyclopedia.com, has announced an agreement with Thomson Gale. Under the agreement, Thomson Gale will provide content for Alacritude's eLibrary news archive. Sources in eLibrary include newspapers, periodicals, newsletters, directories, and transcripts from television and radio stations (including cable television companies).

Examples of new titles include the Daily Telegraph (London, England), Esquire, Newsweek, Variety, and Town & Country, as well as specialty publications such as American Journal of Health Sciences, Business Economics, Chemical Week, Home Business Report, Information Week, Pediatrics, Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, Women's Wear Daily, and The Yale Law Journal.

Alacritude is creating a new research engine that is designed to make it easy for individual researchers to locate, organize, and deliver answers. The new service will combine tools for searching the Web and proprietary databases such as Gale's, and is expected to launch in early 2004.
