Adobe Systems made several announcements at its annual MAX conference, which is being held from Oct. 23-37 in Los Angeles.
Among these were several new components for AIR 2.5, the latest iteration of its Flash platform. Chief among these was support for smartphones and tablets based on Android, iOS, and the BlackBerry Tablet OS.
The Digital Publishing Suite was also announced, which Adobe reports will allow publishers the ability to create, publish, and sell digital content directly through aggregator partners or mobile marketplaces. The Digital Publishing Suite is built on the existing assets of Creative Suite and InDesign CS5.
Finally, LiveCycle Enterprise Suite 2.5 was revealed, the latest version of Adobe's customer experience management product. The new version sports enhanced mobile capabilities.
