Accumulate and Potevio Bring Mobile Payments to China

Accumulate AB and Potevio, from the China Putian Information Industry Co., Ltd., have partnered to bring mobile payments, including near field communication (NFC) solutions, to the Chinese market. The companies expect the first deployment to be in 2Q 2012.

Solutions will combine Accumulate's mobile security platform with Potevio's resources from its R&D for telecom design, programming, and project lead, and from its manufacturing entities of electronic and communication equipment and solutions.

The companies are also working to develop a solution for the secure payment of utility bills, the duo announced. Services developed and deployed under this partnership will support all major mobile platforms, including Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Java, and Windows.
