The 19th Annual EContent 100

Dear Readers,
For nearly 2 decades, the EContent 100 list of companies that matter most in the digital content industry has been a guidepost for people in the industry. Looking for a new CMS? Maybe a platform to help you create a mobile app? Turn to the EContent 100 to see what’s at the top of the heap.
We’ve often noticed a trend of EContent 100 companies being acquired soon after making the list—and this has always been a sign to our judges that we’re on the right track. But throughout the years, the tech stack powering the digital content industry has expanded—perhaps exploded might be a better word to describe the growth.
As the industry changes, we thought it was time to shake up the list a bit. This time, we decided to turn judging over to our readers. Earlier this year, we opened a judging page up to website visitors and asked readers to vote on their top 10 companies in the industry.
You obliged. We tallied the votes, and voila! The 2019 EContent 100 list was complete.
As always, you’ll find the companies that have been pillars of the industry for years—even decades—as well as upstarts that are shaking things up. And don’t forget to check out our Companies to Watch section for those that we think you’ll be hearing more about in the year ahead.
Sincerely,
Theresa Cramer, Editor
