Miller Systems Unveils dataDriver Secure Portal; Paradigm Works Implements Full Suite of dataDriver Tools

Jan 27, 2004

Miller Systems, a Boston-based technology consulting firm specializing in Web engineering and IT consulting, has announced the availability of a new module for its dataDriver suite of dynamic publishing tools. The new module, dataDriver Secure Portal, is designed to enable a business' customers, vendors, partners, and employees to access proprietary content, files, and links securely through an Intranet, Extranet, or Portal.

Miller Systems' dataDriver Secure Portal is intended to cost-effectively allow a small- or middle-market company to create a portal for its customers, partners, employees, or other trusted parties. Providing support for administrators to post and classify any type of file, short text messages, and/or links (URLs), dataDriver Secure Portal's granular security model allows these content items to be secured in aggregate or individually. Moreover, dataDriver Secure Portal uses a standard user and group model to provide simple administration and to power reporting tools that enable administrators to see who viewed proprietary resources, and when, with time and date stamps.

dataDriver Secure Portal is available immediately, is licensed on a per-site basis, and can be purchased either separately or along with the other dataDriver modules. dataDriver Secure Portal requires Microsoft SQL Server and Macromedia ColdFusion. The typical cost to license and implement dataDriver Secure Portal is less than $10,000.

Miller Systems has also announced that its dataDriver suite of dynamic publishing tools has been implemented by Paradigm Works, a verification IP and chip development services company. Paradigm Works will use the full suite of dataDriver modules (Secure Portal, Press Room, ePush, and Job Board) in an effort to leverage its Web site for enhanced customer service and effective new client marketing. The dataDriver suite is designed to enable Paradigm Works' IT staff to effectively manage frequently changing content and outbound marketing to the visiting community, without requiring programming or HTML skills.

Using dataDriver Secure Portal, Miller Systems provided Paradigm Works with an organized framework and download area for both customers and prospects.  Visitors to the area have personalized, secure access to documentation, software updates, manuals, and white papers.  A gated registration process enables public users to indicate interest in a given set of products or services and allows them to download semi-private content.
