Ingram Content Group announced plans to establish a Lightning Source print-on-demand book manufacturing division in Australia, effectively expanding the company's presence in the Asia-Pacific market. Lightning Source, Ingram reports, can allow publishers to potentially reduce or remove the need for the warehousing of local inventory, in addition to reducing transportation and stock write-off costs.

KIT Digital, Inc. has acquired the Prague-based Brickbox Digital Media, a privately held company, along with its subsidiaries and affiliates. Capital IQ, a division of McGraw-Hill Standard & Poor's business unit, announced an agreement to acquire TheMarkets.com, a competitor in the financial data and analytics market.
