Florida's Broward Community College Selects Percussion's Rhythmyx Content Management System |
|
Percussion Software has announced that Broward Community College has selected Rhythmyx to speed the creation and publication of content to its Web presence. With more than 60,000 students and 2,000 faculty and staff, Broward Community College relies on its Web site to facilitate administrative processes, provide online registration and fee payment, and disseminate education and marketing information to the community and prospective students. With more than 5,000 pages of content and individual faculty Web pages to create and maintain, Broward Community College's Web team was spending 80% of its time managing content, rather than devoting time to developing new applications or enhancing current content. Through its home-grown content management system, faculty Web pages had to be created with inflexible templates that permitted very few options. Broward County Community College selected Rhythmyx based on the product's open architecture, in addition to its workflow capabilities and interface designed for non-technical users. Percussion integrates its content management methodology into Rhythmyx, thereby reducing the time and skill level required to execute content initiatives.
