Job Description

Qumu is looking for an experience Sr. Product Marketing Manager.  In this position, you will play a critical role in positioning and launching products at Qumu. The ideal candidate is both analytical and strategic and can effectively work cross-functionally to drive results. You will develop a deep understanding of the market and customer, and work with product management to ensure that product strategy is crafted around this understanding. In addition you will drive messaging, positioning and lead the overall go-to-market process including the development of product marketing assets. The ideal candidate is passionate about products, is excellent at developing customer and market insights, and excels at communicating complex or technical topics in a simple way. This person should be an excellent written and visual communicator as well as committed to quality execution.

Essential Functions

  • Be the Product Champion, drive the product vision and strategy

  • Develop a clear understanding of the customer and market, in order to integrate that information effectively into the product strategy.

  • Be the advocate for the customer with the product team, continually monitoring the pulse of the market.

  • Work with the team to build comprehensive go-to-market launch plans.

  • Drive and manage the go-to-market process and strategy across all corporate functions to ensure a successful launch and promotions.

  • Develop key messages, promotions and partnerships for new products.

  • Own positioning and messaging of all Qumu software products.

  • Manage the development of product-related marketing assets, including product marketing documents, product collateral, presentations, info graphics, and other related promotional content.

  • Collaborate across the marketing team on key messages for partners, PR and more.

  • BS/BA and related work experience required, MBA a plus.

  • 6+ years’ experience in product marketing for technical products, ideally with some enterprise video experience.

  • Experience working on world-class B2B software products.

  • Strong written and visual communicator with a passion for simplifying complex technical topics.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Passionate about products and how customers use them.

  • Excellent cross-functional team player that can excel at both strategy and execution

  • Highly driven self-starter that thrives in a dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of the enterprise video market highly desirable.
