Job Description

Reporting to the President, this position will be responsible for all product development release cycles, schedules and budgets for an innovative new video platform experience licensed to advertisers, social networks, dating sites, social gaming companies and entertainment studios.

The company core product is a comprehensive cloud-based video application encompassing components that provide DRM driven streaming video, video device detection and set up, time-code controlled video capture, video transcoding, and video image processing, as well as social media functions of ratings, reviews, favorites and sharing. Video publishing will include both web and mobile formats including iPad2. Licensed to commercial customers, the application supports client administration and security, new license configuration and set up and reporting analytics as well as other commercial level functionality.

This is a hands-on leadership-architect-development position driving core development through both internal FTE and development partners. This position will also be responsible for implementing industry best practices within the company development environment, processes, contracts, and products.

The product roadmap includes product customization and integration with major third-party cloud solutions within the advertising, social marketing, local marketing, video hot spot, video meta-tagging, social gaming and social networks applications.

The successful candidate will be part of a seasoned and proven executive team building a culture of innovation with intelligent video within commercial applications.

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills: 

The candidate for this position will demonstrate expertise and proficiency within the following areas: 

 

·         Bachelor or Masters is required.  Phd is desired.

·         10-15 year successful track working all phases of developing scalable, secure online platforms, web services, applications including all major web and mobile platforms and browsers

·         Expert skills working with Windows OS, SQL, .NET, SOAS, HTML, Ajax, JavaScript, XML and related technologies and languages

·         Expert development skills within C, C++, VC++ and C# with related development best practices, standards, tools and libraries

·         Demonstrated experience in A/V digitalization, media streaming, encoding, transcoding and compression and DRM

·         Proven track record implement scalable, secure commercial or consumer web services and applications

·         Familiarity working with multiple file formats including FFMPEG, PCM, RTP/RTSP, DTCP-IP, MP4, MP2TS, AVI,H.264, MPEG-4 part2 and MPEG-2, MP4, AAC audio, RGB and RGBA

·         Ability to build collaborative and productive teams that achieve planned results

·         Provide team coaching, performance and project management

·         Strong written and oral communication skills

·         Demonstrated track record of on–time, on-budget software release

·         Experience with coding with techniques such as alpha blending, pillar boxing, painter’s algorithm, scale and crop, letter boxing and variable frame rates to presentation time, multimedia clocks, encoding, compression a plus
