Job Summary

The Director of Channel Development oversees product management, product marketing and channel development experience. This position will be responsible for designing channel programs enabling Qumu to establish substantive markets aligned with Qumu’s strategic partner ecosystem.  The role will require competency in working across functional groups; Development, Product Management, Marketing and Sales in order to define end-to-end channel campaigns.


Essential Functions

  • Design and develop channel programs

  • Strategy formulation

  • Content creation

  • Plan and execute channel enablement

  • Create Partner plans which include go-to-market and enablement.

  • Partner selection (end-to-end ecosystem supporting strategic Partners).

  • Examining and analyzing market dynamics to support strategic and tactical execution.

  • Establish and maintain key performance indicator metrics with emphasis on revenue.

  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, development and sales teams to coordinate activity and augment efforts.

  • Develop enablement plans, including the required content creation to support Channel.

  • Educate direct sales force on Partner plays.

  • Creating culture of Channel marketing excellence.

  • Work with Partner representatives to develop Partner plans.

  • Assist in setting portfolio & commercial strategy.

  • Establish feedback mechanism for product and development teams.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and serve as program lead for world-wide marketing initiatives that support Channel development.

  • Minimum undergraduate degree, MA or MBA preferred.

  • 10 years of applied experience related to the role required.

  • Strong analytical skills including user needs analysis, financial business modeling, budgeting and forecasting.

  • Proven ability to map product features to market requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Technical aptitude and experience with Oracle, IBM, Microsoft products and their channel.

  • Prior channel enablement experience.
