Among the key features of Bitrix Intranet Portal are rich social networking, an integrated SCORM-compatible e-learning function, and an integration with Microsoft Outlook.

Axceler began distributing version 4.1 of ControlPoint, its administration product for SharePoint. Among the new features in ControlPoint 4.1 are detailed analysis and management of SharePoint groups, the ability to find duplicate files across a SharePoint farm, enhanced SharePoint user reporting, SharePoint policy enforcement, and the ability to perform actions across multiple farms.

The application is the first to be developed using the new iD API, which allows for the extension and customization of iD.

The objective of the research project was to develop a set of requirements for a new enterprise search engine, but one of the discoveries we made was that many of these requirements could be met by enhancing our current search engine.

Ingram Content Group announced plans to establish a Lightning Source print-on-demand book manufacturing division in Australia, effectively expanding the company's presence in the Asia-Pacific market. Lightning Source, Ingram reports, can allow publishers to potentially reduce or remove the need for the warehousing of local inventory, in addition to reducing transportation and stock write-off costs.

KIT Digital, Inc. has acquired the Prague-based Brickbox Digital Media, a privately held company, along with its subsidiaries and affiliates. KIT Digital paid an upfront consideration of approximately $10.1 million, composed of roughly $6.6 million in cash and 339,476 shares of KIT Digital common stock.

Socialtext, which specializes in enterprise-level, web-based collaboration technologies, such as its eponymous flagship service, has upgraded to version 4.4, offering improved features and an overhauled search engine. Search queries are now returned quicker across multiple workstations with increased accuracy, in addition to other changes such as the 500-page result limit being removed.
