Of course, this isn't surprising--at least not to me. The wild popularity of Serial showed us all that there is a market for storytelling that keeps listeners--or readers--dangling at the end of each week's episode.

Over the last few years, B2B marketers have strayed from one of the most natural, easy ways to influence an audience-the art of storytelling. Alpha Grid is a media company that specializies in branded content, and The Financial Times has purchased a controlling stake in it in order to expand its own content studio. According to a post on the news outlet's site, branded content revenue has risen by more than 30% since it introduced the paid post format, "and the FT is seeing increased demand from advertisers for multimedia brand storytelling aimed at global decision makers – where Alpha Grid has a strong track record."
