An international coalition, led by MovieLabs, CableLabs, Comcast, and Rovi Corporation, is launching the Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR), a non-profit global independent registry that provides a uniform approach to cataloging movies, television shows, and other commercial audio/video assets with unique IDs.
