NewsGator Technologies, Inc., a RSS software platform company, has acquired Bradbury Software, whose primary products are FeedDemon, a Windows-based desktop aggregator, and TopStyle, a CSS/xHTML editor for Windows. NewsGator also announced that FeedDemon will integrate with the NewsGator Online synchronization platform and be available as part of all of NewsGator’s paid subscriptions.

RealNetworks, Inc., a provider of downloadable PC-based casual games, has acquired Helsinki-based Mr.Goodliving Ltd, a developer and publisher of mobile games throughout Europe. The acquisition establishes Real in the mobile games market, provides new market opportunities for its existing library of game titles, and will expand the reach of Mr.Goodliving’s titles into the US and Asia.

Verizon Communications Inc. has agreed with MCI, Inc. to further amend the terms of the Feb. 14, 2005 agreement to acquire MCI. As with the original offer and the revised bid of March 29, the MCI Board of Directors is unanimously recommending approval of the amended agreement to its shareholders.

Sorrent, Inc., a creator and publisher of mobile entertainment, has raised $20 million in Series D financing led by expansion-stage venture capital firm, Granite Global Ventures. Sorrent's current investors, including BA Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Globespan Capital Partners and Sienna Ventures, joined Granite Global Ventures in the round.

WebSideStory, a provider of on-demand digital marketing applications, has completed its acquisition of Avivo Corporation, a provider of on-demand site search and Web content management. Under the terms of the deal, WebSideStory acquired all of the outstanding capital stock and options of Atomz in exchange for approximately 3.1 million shares of common stock and approximately $4.3 million in cash.

Adobe Systems Incorporated has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Macromedia in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $3.4 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, which has been approved by both boards of directors, Macromedia stockholders will receive, at a fixed exchange ratio, 0.69 shares of Adobe common stock for every share of Macromedia common stock in a tax-free exchange.

Fortiva Inc, a provider of email archiving solutions for compliance and legal discovery, has raised an additional $4 million in equity financing from Ventures West and Mclean Watson Capital.
