ProQuest announced that it will be using a proprietary geo-referencing technology to significantly enhance discovery in its Sanborn Map collection, a source for historical maps. ProQuest Sanborn Maps Geo Edition makes map research faster by enabling users to instantly pinpoint historical locations using modern geographic information. The collection is also now the world's largest source of historical GIS-enabled urban maps.

Oxford University Press (OUP) launched the online version of one of its most prestigious offerings, the Oxford Textbook of Medicine. In print, this fifth edition of Oxford Textbook of Medicine is a three-volume tome with just under 6,000 pages, compiled over 5 years by 750 contributors.

Credo Reference signed an agreement to integrate five Princeton University Press titles into the Credo General Reference collection. Credo users will have full access to the following titles: The Princeton Companion to Mathematics, The New Princeton Encyclopedia of Poetry and Poetics, The Princeton Encyclopedia of the World Economy, The Handbook of Economic Sociology, and The Princeton Guide to Ecology.

Oxford Bibliographies Online, an online arm of Oxford University Press (OUP), is opening its doors. The new service creates bibliographies in certain OUP subject areas. At present, Oxford Bibliographies Online is available in classics, Islamic studies, social work and criminology, with an additional 10-12 subjects coming later this year.

AuthorMapper offers searchable content from all Springer and BioMed Central journals, and now offers ebook data.

A new collection of ebooks for government agencies and institutions has been released by ebrary. Government Complete, as the collection is called, features more than 47,000 ebooks and other titles from over 425 publishers, including McGraw-Hill, MIT Press, Oxford University Press, and Wiley.

A new partnership will add the British Library's Electronic Table of Contents File (ETOC) to EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). ETOC was created to identify journal articles and conference papers from the British Library's Document Supply collections. The resource includes more than 36 million records providing broad subject coverage across all academic disciplines, with 2.5 million articles being added each year.

Springer Science+Business Media's electronic journal and book content from its online platform SpringerLink (www.springerlink.com) is now searchable on Naver, a Korean search engine and a subsidy of NHN Corporation. Naver is the top search engine in South Korea, with over 76 percent of internet searches done on its site.
